About the position

The Lead Pega Application Development Engineer at Centene Corporation is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex enterprise software solutions aimed at automating processes for claims departments and other groups. This role involves collaboration with various technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure effective application delivery and support, while also leading projects and managing application upgrades and patches.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement complex enterprise software solutions for claims departments.
  • Lead projects focused on application product development and service delivery.
  • Ensure multiple products and services work together to meet business needs.
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture on data and application architecture delivery.
  • Construct testing and implementation strategies with operational and build teams.
  • Inform on product and services delivery progress related to application delivery.
  • Oversee tier 3 application support activities, including upgrades and patches.
  • Participate in risk identification and evaluation activities.
  • Manage people and technology changes, ensuring stakeholder communication.
  • Facilitate people management, including staff reviews, recruitment, and training.
  • Serve as a technical adviser to management on system requirements.
  • Create conceptual and detailed technical design documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
  • 5 - 7 years of related experience or equivalent experience reflecting the level of this position.
  • Experience with Pega Robotics, Pega Robot Manager, UiPath, AWS, or cloud/network infrastructure.
