About the position

The Lead People Development Partner at Western Governors University is a key role focused on enhancing the competencies and effectiveness of various audiences through development opportunities and consultation. This position involves analyzing, designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating learning solutions to ensure learners achieve their objectives. The Lead People Development Partner will collaborate with organizational leaders and business partners to identify development needs, create engaging learning experiences, and drive continuous improvement in learning and performance solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with organizational leaders to identify development needs for individual and team learning aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with content and design teams to create learning solutions that equip employees with necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Deliver and assess a variety of engaging learning experiences, including in-person and virtual workshops, coaching, and eLearning modules.
  • Provide timely feedback to participants and organizational leadership throughout the learning journey.
  • Participate in analyzing and integrating technologies into learning solutions and teach others to utilize them effectively.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development programs and measure their impact on performance.
  • Stay current on emerging trends and best practices in learning and development.
  • Promote and drive usage of People Development solutions and handle confidential data with integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 7 or more years of recent training experience, including facilitation and executive coaching.
  • Experience in distance-learning and adult-learning principles.
  • Prior experience facilitating in-person and virtual learning for Senior Leaders.
  • Experience in course and curriculum development and learning effectiveness measurement.
  • Solid knowledge of project management and experience leading projects.
  • Knowledge of change management practices, such as ADKAR.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree (or equivalent).
  • 5 years of experience in higher education.
  • Experience with learning and course-authoring software (e.g., Rise, Camtasia).
