The Lead Personal Care Assistant (PCA) at The Ashford of Mt. Washington plays a crucial role in providing direct care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This position emphasizes the importance of enhancing residents' quality of life through compassionate support and engagement in activities, all while adhering to the Wallick Mission and Values.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care in accordance with the Wallick Mission and Values.
• Assist residents with personal hygiene and grooming.
• Answer call lights promptly and respond to residents' needs.
• Motivate and encourage resident participation in activities.
• Attend weekly manager meetings and family/resident care conferences.
• Complete task assignment sheets in coordination with PCA staff.
• Maintain a positive environment for residents.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in operating a computer.
• Organized and self-motivated.
• Completion of first aid training and certification required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Basic math skills required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required.
