About the position

As a Lead Personal Care Assistant (PCA) at Oakleaf Village, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our residents. This full-time position offers a competitive pay rate of up to $18.00 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct resident care in alignment with the Wallick Mission and Values, ensuring that each resident feels valued and supported in their mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and social well-being. You will be part of a dedicated team that strives to create a nurturing environment where residents can thrive. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and completing task assignments in coordination with PCA staff, attending weekly manager meetings, and participating in family and resident care conferences. You will provide essential physical care, including assistance with personal hygiene and grooming, and respond promptly to residents' needs by answering call lights. Your ability to motivate and encourage residents to participate in activities will be vital in fostering a positive atmosphere. Additionally, you will assist residents in transitioning to and from activities and redirect them as necessary, ensuring their comfort and safety. Responsibilities

  • Provide direct resident care in accordance with Wallick Mission and Values.
  • Schedule and complete task assignments in coordination with PCA staff.
  • Attend weekly manager meetings and family/resident care conferences.
  • Provide physical resident care, including personal hygiene and grooming assistance.
  • Respond promptly to call lights and residents' needs.
  • Motivate and encourage resident participation in activities.
  • Assist residents to and from activities and redirect them as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer.
  • Organized and self-motivated individual.
  • Completion of first aid training and certification required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with peers, visitors, and supervisors.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • First Aid/CPR Certification required.
