About the position

The Lead Personal Care Attendant at Prestige Senior Living - Rosemont is responsible for leading a team of Personal Care Attendants while providing direct care to residents. This role emphasizes promoting resident dignity, independence, and choice, and involves various tasks such as assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitoring residents' conditions, and ensuring a positive living environment. The position is part-time/on-call with flexible scheduling options, allowing for both day and evening shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise other Personal Care Attendants in providing direct resident care.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, and companionship.
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical and mental conditions to the appropriate staff.
• Take vital signs and document care services provided and observations accurately.
• Assist residents during meal times and with dining room activities.
• Perform First Aid and initiate emergency response procedures as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following fire safety and infection control practices.
• Assist with housekeeping services and residents' laundry as needed.
• Participate in training, in-services, and staff meetings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of personal care experience with older adults preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Food Handlers permit if required by State.
• Must complete and pass competency evaluation within 120 days of employment.
