The Lead Phlebotomist at Baptist Health South Florida plays a crucial role in overseeing the Phlebotomy section within the laboratory. This position involves performing at a senior phlebotomist level while assisting the Phlebotomy/Lab Support Technical Supervisor in coordinating phlebotomy activities. Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy procedures at a senior level.
  • Assist in the supervision and coordination of the Phlebotomy section.
  • Ensure high-quality patient care and laboratory efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to junior phlebotomists.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and health regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent experience required.
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant certification required.
  • Phlebotomist Certification required.
  • Three years of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting, including experience with neonatal, geriatric, and oncology patients.
  • Strong computer skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves
