About the position

The Lead PHP Developer will oversee a team of developers and manage PHP-based applications, focusing on architecture, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications. This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and hands-on coding abilities, ensuring best practices in coding standards, security, and performance are upheld.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of PHP-based applications, ensuring efficient and scalable architecture.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to deliver seamless web applications.
  • Implement and maintain coding standards, security protocols, and performance optimization.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical expertise and leadership.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in development and testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across various environments.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and integrate them into the development process.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Lead PHP Developer or similar senior role.
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
  • Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Vue.js).
  • Expertise in RESTful API development and integration.
  • Solid understanding of database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in both local and remote teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
  • Experience in leading a distributed team.
