About the position

This position is responsible for the coordinated management of multiple, related projects aimed at achieving strategic business and organizational objectives. The role involves overseeing forecasting and planning activities for new projects, ensuring alignment with resource and budgetary capacity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position requires effective communication with stakeholders and the development of governance tools and processes to support project and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures regular business alignment and prioritization of demand with resource and budgetary capacity.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and periodically reviews project status, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Establishes, maintains, and provides management reporting using appropriate metrics.
  • Ensures effective communication with project sponsors, project managers, functional and resource managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Engages key stakeholders to evaluate proposed and ongoing projects based on value, risk, effort, cost, and strategic alignment.
  • Provides formal training and support for project and portfolio management.
  • Develops and maintains governance tools, templates, guidelines, procedures, and processes.
  • Leads with influence and expertise and actively contributes to division or department leadership team.
  • Communicates and supports organization mission, vision, values, policies, and practices.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
  • Extensive experience with project/program and portfolio management tools, methods, and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively communicating with senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience with budget, metrics, and other operational analyses.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of operational and strategic planning.
