About the position

The Lead Power BI Analyst will be responsible for participating in all phases of the design and development life cycle of analytic applications and reporting tools, utilizing various BI technology platforms. This hybrid role requires collaboration with business stakeholders to understand requirements, perform data analysis, and develop reporting solutions that support business performance metrics, particularly in the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with the business to better understand business requirements.
• Provide detailed analysis of efficiencies related to system enhancement/automation.
• Perform systems design, testing, training, and implementation support.
• Identify detailed business and technical requirements on simple single program deliverables.
• Aid graphic designers and other web team members to apply the right marketing-focused content.
• Code and maintain components of information systems.
• Develop and perform system testing and fix defects identified during testing.
• Participate in integrating activities with other IT departments for successful implementation and support of project efforts.
• Support development of vendor evaluations and assist with pilots for Business Intelligence tool upgrades.
• Create and maintain databases to track business performance.
• Analyze data and summarize performance using summary statistical procedures.
• Develop and analyze business performance reports and provide notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
• Create and publish periodic reports, make necessary recommendations, and develop ad hoc reports as needed.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years related operational and/or data analysis experience.
• Experience in database structures and standard query and reporting tools.
• 5-8 years experience or knowledge of Microsoft Power BI & SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Data Reporting.
• 2 years experience in the Healthcare Industry.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with innovative tool evaluations and configuration of metadata for Business Intelligence tools.
