As a Lead Process Equipment Engineer in Cincinnati, OH, you will play a pivotal role in projects that are essential to our clients' businesses, particularly in the Life Sciences sector. This includes working on projects related to Drug Substance, Drug Product, Fill/Finish, Single Use, Fermentation, and other biopharmaceutical facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the budget, schedule, and technical quality of engineering tasks associated with equipment design and procurement, while also aligning with client expectations. In this role, you will lead a dynamic team of equipment engineers, guiding them in the specification, bidding, purchasing, and management of the design and delivery of process equipment for various biopharmaceutical and biotech projects. You will also be involved in vendor inspections and the witnessing of Factory Acceptance Tests for equipment. This position not only allows you to leverage your technical expertise but also provides an opportunity to mentor junior team members, helping them discover their passions and guiding their professional development. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of equipment engineers in specifying, bidding, purchasing, and managing the design and delivery of process equipment for biopharmaceutical and biotech projects.
  • Ensure budget, schedule, and technical quality of engineering tasks related to equipment design and procurement.
  • Conduct vendor inspections and witness Factory Acceptance Tests for equipment.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to establish process equipment needs for projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 10+ years of experience working on Life Science / Manufacturing projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a small team of engineers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of main types of process equipment such as pressure vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, and centrifuges.
  • Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ASME piping code (B31.3).
  • Familiarity with ASME BPE (Bioprocessing Equipment).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Forward-thinking with a desire to learn best practices and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in various team settings.
