About the position

The Lead Process/Manufacturing Engineer at GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation is a pivotal role focused on the New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing processes. This position is integral to departmental operations, emphasizing the planning and execution of activities within established functional practices and procedures. While the role allows for some autonomy, it primarily revolves around executing tasks that align with standard operating procedures, requiring occasional judgment with guidance from senior team members. In this role, the engineer will concentrate on the NPI, engaging directly in Tollgate processes associated with the launch of new products and processes. Responsibilities include defining and controlling production processes, which encompass tooling and equipment, as well as validating design specifications and their application on the shop floor. The engineer will leverage their technical expertise and prior experience to navigate the complexities of manufacturing engineering, ensuring that the integration of their work with other teams contributes effectively to the overall business objectives. The position demands a deep understanding of key business drivers and the ability to propose innovative solutions within set parameters. The engineer will be expected to lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities and serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues, potentially leading small projects with moderate risks. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the engineer will need to communicate complex information clearly and work towards building consensus among team members.
