About the position

As a Lead Product Designer for TikTok's UED Monetization Product team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and design of our monetization products. This position is critical in ensuring that our products meet the high standards expected by both the business and our users. You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end design process, which includes collaborating cross-functionally with design, product, marketing, and engineering teams to create impactful designs that address complex problems. Your work will encompass both mobile and desktop platforms, and you will utilize qualitative and quantitative user research to inform your design decisions. In this role, you will own the full design lifecycle for your product, starting from understanding core user challenges to delivering polished, pixel-perfect UI across various platforms. You will develop and test rough prototypes early in the design process to validate solutions, iterating quickly based on feedback. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with product, engineering, and other teams to define a strategic vision and roadmap for the product, contributing to high-level decision-making. You will also create detailed, high-fidelity UI and UX specifications to effectively communicate design requirements to engineers and stakeholders. Mentorship is an important aspect of this role, as you will be expected to support junior and mid-level designers, sharing your expertise and guiding them in best practices. Additionally, you will contribute to and evolve our design systems, ensuring consistency across the platform. Your ability to shape design thinking across the broader organization, including research, marketing, product education, and customer success teams, will be essential. You will drive the creation and communication of design visions that inspire stakeholders and align with business goals, all while championing a user-centered design approach that balances user empathy with business needs, particularly in complex B2B enterprise contexts like CRM, sales, ads, and monetization. This role requires thriving in a fast-paced environment where quick iteration and adaptation to changes are crucial.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in lead product design settings, with background in enterprise or B2B platforms.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing for CRM, sales, ad tech, or monetization use cases, with both mobile and desktop experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to articulate design decisions and the rationale behind them to various stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive the end-to-end design process independently, from research and conceptualization to execution and delivery.
  • Experience designing and shipping products with complex workflows, multiple scenarios, and edge cases.
  • Must have a passion for enterprise product design and a desire to solve complex problems in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to think strategically, create a cohesive design vision, and effectively communicate it to cross-functional teams.
  • Experience mentoring or leading design teams while remaining hands-on and detail-oriented.
  • Experience or strong interest in data visualization.
