About the position
The Lead Product Designer will be responsible for user-centered design and the conceptualization of innovative design solutions. This role involves significant leadership in projects that align with organizational objectives, mentoring less experienced designers, and applying extensive design expertise to complex problems.
Responsibilities
- Contributes significant leadership to projects/programs that achieve organizational objectives.
- May lead major research or product/application development projects consisting of multiple modules or sub-projects.
- Creates research protocols to be carried out by others.
- Provides direction to other designers for defining new product behaviors.
- Reviews and provides feedback on all designs for a particular product type.
- Defines general approaches and specific solutions to cutting-edge technical problems.
- Applies extensive design expertise and analysis to all assigned projects.
- Serves as a mentor to less experienced User Experience Designers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Interactive Design, Human Factors, Visual Design, or equivalent curriculum teaching user-centered design principles.
- Minimum of 9 years relevant work experience or 13 years equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record of leading design direction for multiple projects.
- Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to produce exceptional design solutions for complex problems.
Nice-to-haves
- Excellent knowledge of and personal passion for Golf.
- Experience designing interactive content and interfaces specifically for sports.
- Experience working closely with Technical Artists and/or Developers.
- Examples of overcoming technical limitations in novel ways.
