About the position

The Lead Product Designer for Network Growth at BILL will spearhead the design and strategy for features that enhance user acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention within the BILL network. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and drive impactful design initiatives, while also mentoring other designers and contributing to the design culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement user-centric experiences to improve engagement and value for members.
  • Utilize qualitative insights and quantitative data to iterate on designs that enhance conversion rates and reduce churn.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Research, Data, and Product Marketing teams.
  • Use data and user insights to inform design decisions and optimize strategies based on user behavior and product performance metrics.
  • Conduct user research to understand user needs and translate insights into effective design strategies.
  • Own the entire design process from research and ideation to testing and implementation.
  • Develop innovative design strategies that meet both end-user and internal team requirements.
  • Mentor and inspire other designers, fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Present design concepts and strategies to senior leadership and stakeholders for alignment with business vision.
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system for consistency across products.
  • Develop high-fidelity prototypes and lead usability testing sessions to validate design concepts.
  • Work with data and growth teams to conduct A/B testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback and test results.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to scope design projects and ensure timely delivery.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in human-centered design practices for digital or mobile products.
  • Experience working with agile teams and aligning design with product and business roadmaps.
  • Practical knowledge of A/B testing and rapid iteration.
  • Ability to conduct continuous discovery practices and incorporate user feedback into designs.
  • Strong analytical skills for creating data-backed solutions that balance user needs with business objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationale across various audiences.
  • Deep understanding of user needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Proficient in gathering and interpreting data to make informed design decisions.
