About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Product Designer to lead complex initiatives that enhance product usability and support product development teams. This role involves developing customer experience solutions for online applications and websites, overseeing strategic design projects, and establishing design guidelines and best practices. The Lead Product Designer will also serve as a design advocate, influencing roadmaps and business decisions while collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve design goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex initiatives providing product usability and support to product development teams.
  • Develop and execute customer experience solutions for online applications and websites.
  • Oversee the execution of strategic design projects influencing the company's design direction.
  • Review and analyze industry-leading user interface design solutions.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Serve as a design advocate, forecasting and assessing industry trends.
  • Build and enhance working relationships within the design community.
  • Provide product usability evaluation and support to product development teams.
  • Lead customer experience strategy for platforms and products.
  • Influence roadmaps and business decisions by providing customer experience considerations.
  • Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Online and Digital Product Design, Information Sciences, Graphic, and Visual Arts or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Figma, FigJam, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to create high-fidelity prototypes and mockups.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and ever-changing landscape.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in leading design projects in a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
