About the position

The Lead Product Designer at Wells Fargo will spearhead complex initiatives aimed at enhancing product usability and customer experience across online applications and websites. This role is pivotal in overseeing strategic design projects that shape the company's design direction, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards while fostering collaboration within the design community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex initiatives that provide product usability, evaluation, and support to product development teams.
  • Develop and execute customer experience solutions for online applications and websites.
  • Oversee the execution of strategic design projects that influence the design and strategic direction of the company.
  • Review and analyze complex industry-leading user interface design solutions.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Serve as a design advocate, forecasting and assessing industry trends and their impact on product design alternatives.
  • Build and enhance working relationships within the information and interface design function and community outside of the company.
  • Provide product usability, evaluation, and support to product development teams.
  • Lead customer experience strategy for platforms and products.
  • Influence roadmaps and business decisions by providing customer experience considerations.
  • Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Online and Digital Product Design, Information Sciences, Graphic, and Visual Arts experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Figma, FigJam, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to create high-fidelity prototypes and mockups.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and ever-changing landscape.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
