About the position

At Wells Fargo, we are looking for talented individuals who will put our customers at the center of everything we do. We are seeking a Lead Product Designer to join our Innovation Enablement Team within the Strategy, Digital and Innovation (SDI) group. This team is responsible for forging the strategic direction of Wells Fargo, managing our digital foundation, and transforming our business models to meet evolving customer needs. The investments we are making will help create innovative digital banking experiences, making it easier for customers to achieve their financial goals. As a Lead Product Designer, you will be part of a small but mighty group that designs and builds Wells Fargo's path forward. This role requires a T-shaped competency where the depth of design leadership is complemented by a broad toolkit that inspires and enables great design. You will collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to understand business objectives and customer needs, translating them into compelling design solutions. Your responsibilities will include creating design deliverables such as sketches, wireframes, prototypes, user interfaces, and visual designs, often taking broad, conceptual ideas and turning them into engaging and thought-provoking designs. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining design best practices, ensuring quality excellence on deliverables, and working collectively with a design team to ideate and execute immersive design experiences. This includes everything from posters and design prototypes to communication design and presentations. Additionally, you will scope and conduct user research to validate design decisions and partner with Product Managers to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and aligned with business goals. Success in this role requires a self-starting attitude, the ability to execute in a fast-paced environment, and strong systems thinking and analytics skills.
