About the position

As a Lead Product Designer - UI/UX at Spectrum, you will be responsible for designing innovative products and features that enhance the consumer experience. This role involves collaborating with various teams to support new and existing features across multiple applications, leading a design team, and acting as a bridge between UX research and product partners. You will utilize your expertise in user-centered design to create high-quality digital experiences for a wide range of users.

Responsibilities

  • Design products and features that impact consumer experience.
  • Collaborate with teams to support new and existing features across applications.
  • Lead innovative design solutions and manage the end-to-end design process.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for multiple programs and systems.
  • Mentor and coach the design team in best practices.
  • Organize and assign work to other designers across the team.
  • Conduct design and wireframe reviews and brainstorming sessions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand expectations and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement design specifications and assets suitable for implementation.
  • Drive cross-platform consistency in design.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of digital design experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with basic prototyping tools (Invision, Flinto, Marvel, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience with common interface tools (Axure, Omnigraffle, Balsamiq, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Sketch).
  • Experience with project estimation and planning user research.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Design/Art/HCI/Media/Related Field or equivalent real-world experience.
  • Proven knowledge of new design techniques and UX best practices.
  • Ability to demonstrate UI and UX design skills via portfolio.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced prototyping tools.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards in design.
