About the position

TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video, and our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. We are seeking a senior product leader to join our US TikTok Shop User Growth team. This team plays a core role in the acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention of billions of users/customers worldwide. We are building platforms, leveraging data and machine learning models, and providing end-to-end solutions to power the global growth of TikTok Shop. As the Lead Product Manager for Customer Acquisition, you will lead one of the directions in the TikTok Shop user acquisition team for the US market. This includes team management, roadmap planning, OKR setting, competitor research, gameplay feature development, and incentive or traffic growth strategy development. You will be responsible for core metrics such as the scale of new customers, repurchase rate, and average order value, working closely with the Strategy Planning team to set these goals. Your role will involve collaborating with other product teams, research and development teams, and machine learning teams to develop and deploy incentive strategies, such as coupons and direct subsidies, to increase user conversion rates. You will also work with the Recommendation Algorithm team, paid ads team, and creator marketing team to enhance traffic from potential users. Budget planning and management will be essential to direct the budget effectively, determine the best ROI solutions, and allocate budgets between projects to achieve optimal global ROI. Additionally, you will explore revenue growth strategies on the seller side, such as co-budgeting, co-promotion, and incentive design, to improve the User Growth team’s budget ROI. Utilizing internal, external, and HQ resources will be crucial to improving key metrics, including the number of new customers, repurchase rate, and average order value.

Responsibilities

  • Leading one of the directions in the TikTok Shop user acquisition team for the US market, including team management, roadmap planning, OKR setting, competitor research, gameplay feature, and incentive or traffic growth strategy development.
  • Responsible for core metrics, including the scale of new customers, repurchase rate, average order value, etc., working with the Strategy Planning team to set the goal.
  • Work with other product teams, RD teams, and ML teams to develop and deploy incentive strategies, such as coupons, direct subsidies, coins, etc., to increase the user conversion rate.
  • Collaborate with the Recommendation Algo team, paid ads team, and creator marketing team to increase the traffic of potential users.
  • Budget planning and management to direct the budget, determine the best ROI solutions, and allocate budgets between projects to achieve the best global ROI solution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in E-commerce or Product in a technology company.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and implementing incentive and subsidy strategies to onboard new customers to a marketplace.
  • 5+ years of experience focused on commerce ecosystems, preferably in user growth, promotional tools, user experiences, and more.
  • 3+ years of experience managing product teams.
  • Strategic and logical thinker with adequate planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead a data-driven team. Capable of in-depth data interpretation and highly data-sensitive.
  • Passionate about understanding user demands with different cultural backgrounds and excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally in a globally collaborative environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Masters Degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team focused on commerce ecosystems, preferably in user growth, promotional tools, user experiences, and more.
  • 5+ years of experience managing product teams.
