About the position

Uber Eats is seeking a strategic Growth leader to join our dynamic and fast-paced team as a Lead Product Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving the growth of critical user segments by developing and implementing innovative approaches to acquire and retain customers, increase orders, and enhance user experience and engagement. You will collaborate closely with Product Design, Data Science, Engineering, Regional General Managers, Strategy & Ops, and other partners across Uber's diverse businesses and geographies. Your leadership will be grounded in deep customer compassion, utilizing data and user experience research (UXR) to make informed decisions based on strong product intuition. As a Lead Product Manager, you will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Marketing, to identify growth opportunities, develop product initiatives, and implement data-driven experiments aimed at improving key growth metrics. You will effectively present and communicate strategy, implementation, and growth plans to various collaborators, ranging from business audiences to senior leadership. Your ability to distill the vision and strategy for the team will generate enthusiasm across cross-functional partners and executive leadership. Additionally, you will anticipate and remove obstacles that may hinder the delivery of operational, product, and program objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the growth of critical user segments by developing and implementing innovative customer acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities and develop product initiatives.
  • Implement data-driven experiments to improve key growth metrics.
  • Effectively present and communicate strategy and growth plans to various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Distill the vision and strategy for the team to generate enthusiasm across cross-functional partners.
  • Anticipate and remove obstacles that may slow down or prevent the achievement of operational and product objectives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience delivering successful and innovative products.
  • Familiarity with systems thinking, analytics, and experiment design.
  • Solid understanding of software development processes and concepts.
  • Extensive experience in setting and delivering on crafted strategies with accountability for outcomes.
  • Strong customer obsession with the ability to tackle complex product challenges and find elegant solutions.
  • A proactive mindset with a bias toward action and collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Entrepreneurial experience in building and leading businesses, including ownership of business performance metrics.
  • Growth experience with a track record of delivering successful 0-to-1 products.
  • A passion for Uber's mission and products, and an understanding of the company's hybrid technology/operations nature.
