About the position

The Lead Product Manager- Technical at Mastercard is responsible for shaping the Developer Experience for the company's products. This role involves defining and guiding technical products from conception to launch, ensuring a seamless connection between technical and business aspects. The ideal candidate will advocate for customers, understand their journeys, and work closely with engineering teams to roll out desired platform capabilities. The position requires a strong focus on product usage metrics, quality, and customer satisfaction to inform product roadmaps and prioritization.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for customers by understanding their use cases and pain points.
  • Understand the customer journey and user experience to enable rapid development and scaling of applications.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to roll out platform capabilities.
  • Identify and gather key metrics to track product usage, quality, and satisfaction.
  • Define and guide products from conception to launch, connecting technical and business worlds.
  • Decompose requirements into features and user stories, prioritize the backlog, and define acceptance criteria.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field.
  • Experience developing and launching products or technologies.
  • Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions.
  • Experience creating strategic product roadmaps and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience defining and building cloud-native software products at scale.
  • Ability to dive deep into technical and operational characteristics of the product.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with complete independence and autonomy.
  • Proven track record of data-driven decision making and applying continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience in agile delivery methodologies (scrum, Rally, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills to convey ideas to executives, peers, and staff.
