About the position

The Product Marketing Manager (PMM) at Carta plays a crucial role in connecting users with the products they rely on to build their companies. This foundational position involves collaborating with various internal teams, including Product, Engineering, Design, and Business, to ensure that customer needs are understood and integrated into product development and marketing strategies. The PMM will focus on defining market positioning, crafting product narratives, and driving adoption of features within the private markets ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Define Carta's market positioning within the Private Markets space.
  • Craft Carta's product narrative that supports the overall brand strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in sales, customer success, and enablement to integrate customer feedback into the product roadmap.
  • Conduct customer interviews and gather feedback to understand pain points and customer needs.
  • Drive adoption and utilization of new and existing features.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product marketing experience.
  • Deep understanding of the private markets ecosystem and current market landscape.
  • Motivation to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Experience taking products and teams from zero to one.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose problems and drive towards solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in distilling complex thoughts into actionable recommendations.
