About the position

The Lead Product Owner at Caterpillar, Inc. is responsible for creating and managing the strategy and roadmap for GenAI solutions, focusing on AI Assistant and AI-generated translations. This role involves collaborating with various teams to identify opportunities for AI applications, maximizing product value, and communicating effectively with stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the value of the product and the work of the development team
• Act as Product Manager for the AI Assistant and other integrated AI products
• Plan, create road maps, and develop strategy for the AI Assistant
• Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog according to business value
• Track adoption, engagement, and business value associated with the product
• Raise awareness among business partners about the potential of AI technology
• Communicate Product Backlog priorities to the team
• Make key decisions regarding product features
• Convey product vision to the team
• Define acceptance criteria for product features
• Work closely with key stakeholders throughout the organization
• Decide on release dates and content
• Interface and engage with customers
• Communicate releases to stakeholders and customers
• Perform other job duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• High level of experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product
• Highly effective communication skills and understanding of communication concepts
• Extensive experience in business analysis and identifying business needs
• Extensive experience in decision-making processes and critical thinking
• Typically 7+ years of professional experience
• Experience in software engineering, analytics, and artificial intelligence
• Extensive experience as a Product Manager/Owner managing multiple projects
