About the position
The Lead Production Technician at Titan Vans is responsible for overseeing the adventure van conversion process, ensuring quality control, and leading a team of van technicians. This role requires a results-driven and motivated leader who can maintain high standards and foster a collaborative work environment. The technician will manage multiple van builds, enforce safety procedures, and maintain effective communication with management while executing various installation tasks.
Responsibilities
- Lead the van conversion process from start to finish as the main technician on 1-2 builds.
- Serve as the main point of contact for other technicians working on assigned vans.
- Ensure work areas are clean and adhere to company standards.
- Enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
- Maintain strong communication with management regarding project status.
- Perform quality control inspections and provide constructive feedback.
- Stage, demolish, and prepare incoming vans for conversion.
- Install various interior components including windows, fans, cabinetry, and plumbing.
- Conduct exterior upgrades such as solar installations and racks.
- Fabricate wire harnesses and plumbing systems as needed.
- Document work and maintain quality control records.
- Participate in daily organization and cleanliness tasks.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a Van Technician or in a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Skilled in using power and hand tools, with experience in metal-cutting and woodworking preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and low-voltage systems.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work in tight spaces.
- Willingness to wear eye protection and adhere to safety protocols.
Nice-to-haves
- Past management experience is preferred.
- Experience with basic electrical and plumbing knowledge.
