About the position

The Lead Production Technician at Titan Vans is responsible for overseeing the adventure van conversion process, ensuring quality control, and leading a team of van technicians. This role requires a results-driven and motivated leader who can maintain high standards and foster a collaborative work environment. The technician will manage multiple van builds, enforce safety procedures, and maintain effective communication with management while executing various installation tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the van conversion process from start to finish as the main technician on 1-2 builds.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for other technicians working on assigned vans.
  • Ensure work areas are clean and adhere to company standards.
  • Enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Maintain strong communication with management regarding project status.
  • Perform quality control inspections and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stage, demolish, and prepare incoming vans for conversion.
  • Install various interior components including windows, fans, cabinetry, and plumbing.
  • Conduct exterior upgrades such as solar installations and racks.
  • Fabricate wire harnesses and plumbing systems as needed.
  • Document work and maintain quality control records.
  • Participate in daily organization and cleanliness tasks.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Van Technician or in a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Skilled in using power and hand tools, with experience in metal-cutting and woodworking preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring and low-voltage systems.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly and work in tight spaces.
  • Willingness to wear eye protection and adhere to safety protocols.

Nice-to-haves

  • Past management experience is preferred.
  • Experience with basic electrical and plumbing knowledge.
