About the position

The Lead Program Manager at L3Harris Technologies is responsible for directing all phases of programs from pursuit through completion, ensuring that key business and financial objectives are met. This role involves managing program execution, overseeing the proposal process, and acting as the primary contact for customers while collaborating with internal stakeholders to achieve mission success.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all phases of programs from program pursuit through completion.
  • Drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of the pursuit and proposal process, including technical and management solutions.
  • Act as the primary customer contact for program activities.
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, and performance specifications.
  • Develop relationships with key partners for large system development and integration efforts.
  • Establish and maintain high-level relationships with senior leaders and government customers.
  • Coordinate with chief engineer and functional managers to ensure proper resources are available.
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
  • Identify program problems and obtain solutions such as reallocating resources.
  • Partner with customers to determine needs and develop new business opportunities.
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes.
  • Assist with strategic plans and roadmaps for maritime system sustainment.
  • Interact with management and customers on business matters.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience, or 13 years of prior related experience without a degree.
  • Program management experience in the defense and intelligence community.
  • Experience supporting Cyber related missions or programs.
  • Ability to make effective decisions regarding profitability and achievability of pursuits.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Program Management experience with the defense and intelligence community
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering-related field
  • Experience utilizing Earned Value Management System Principles
  • Ability to organize and coordinate customer visits and participation in symposiums and trade shows
  • Ability to develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals.
