About the position

The Lead Program Manager at Honeywell is responsible for overseeing complex engineering programs and projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business processes. This role acts as the primary point of contact for program negotiation, management, and delivery, while leading a matrix team to execute key weapon and product/service programs. The position requires extensive technical knowledge and expertise to identify and mitigate risks, manage budgets, and ensure successful project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, evaluate, and execute program project management activities for significant, complex programs.
  • Lead and direct teams to identify and mitigate program risks and resolve technical issues.
  • Establish achievable cost and schedule parameters for complex weapons programs and reimbursable product/service programs.
  • Manage financial planning, monitoring, reporting, and scheduling for complex program/project planning.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with various stakeholders including the Department of Energy and other government agencies.
  • Integrate customer needs with business competencies to drive growth in existing and emerging markets.
  • Participate in strategic planning and manage day-to-day program requirements.
  • Provide oversight and execution of Program Excellence initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Guide the effective use of program/project resources including personnel and tools.
  • Lead training and development initiatives across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 7+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and/or program/project management roles.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Ability to work on-site at the Botts location or as directed by management.
  • United States Citizenship required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Business, Engineering, or International Relations preferred.
  • Experience leading matrixed and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Technical understanding of weapon systems and component functions preferred.
  • Understanding of the NSE weapons acquisition and product realization process preferred.
  • Expertise in estimation methods and critical path analysis.
