About the position

The Project Manager role at Discover involves managing projects from inception to implementation, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet business needs. The position requires collaboration with project teams, stakeholders, and leadership to gather requirements, manage risks, and communicate project statuses effectively. This role is crucial in supporting the Digital Organization's planning activities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from inception to implementation.
• Lead project teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
• Gather business requirements and translate them for project teams.
• Assemble project teams and align roles and responsibilities.
• Define project metrics, track progress, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Assist with business requirements analyses.
• Manage project scopes, issues, and risks.
• Ensure appropriate execution of change controls.
• Estimate work efforts and manage resources effectively.
• Document agendas, meeting minutes, action items, project plans, and issue logs.
• Communicate project statuses to stakeholders.
• Support planning activities for recurring Digital Organization meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Arts, Information Technology, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Project Management, Computer Science, Infrastructure Technology Solutions, or related experience.
• In lieu of education, 6+ years of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ years of experience in Project Management, Computer Science, Digital Marketing Initiatives, or related fields.
• Experience with Agile and/or Kanban methodologies.
• PMP certification.
