About the position

The Lead Project Manager will oversee complex, multi-year projects within the financial services sector, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high client satisfaction. This role involves developing comprehensive project plans, managing risks, and collaborating with senior management and clients to achieve business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manages highly complex, broad, and/or multi-year projects end-to-end to deliver business outcomes.
• Develops detailed, robust, high-quality project plans including resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions, dependencies, etc. for large scale, complex projects.
• Recognizes the impact of scope changes and adjusts project plans accordingly.
• Acts as the first responder to project risks and recommends solutions.
• Interfaces with internal senior management and client executive level personnel.
• Negotiates resource requirements with responsible management when faced with conflicts in priorities.
• Explores intricate solutions to complex business requirements for projects.
• Serves as the subject matter expert in project functionality and planning tools.
• Delegates work to and guides professional and support staff, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Mentors and coaches lower level professional and support staff.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing complex projects in the financial services sector.
• Strong skills in project planning and resource management.
• Ability to recognize and manage project risks effectively.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior management and clients.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching team members.
