About the position

The Lead Project/Program Manager at AT&T is responsible for overseeing complex projects and programs from initiation through delivery. This role requires strong project management skills to ensure that all projects meet their scope, quality, schedule, budget, and risk requirements. The position involves leading cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and developing comprehensive project plans to drive organizational success.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end project management of multiple large projects and manage sub-components of a large program.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to complete projects or program deliverables within the allotted timeline and budget.
  • Identify key internal/external stakeholders necessary for project completion and develop an overall strategy for executing high-value projects/programs.
  • Define project/program scope and objectives, guide activities of a project/program team including delegating tasks to team members, identify resources, and establish a master timeline for deliverables.
  • Manage projects/programs that are very complex in nature, spanning multiple business units or company-wide, requiring high-level analysis to create project/program plans.
  • Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to champion projects across the organization.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Conduct project/program meetings and be responsible for project/program tracking and analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project/program deliverables.
  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables.
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance to the project team.
  • Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of major problems.
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Preferred Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Administration degree or equivalent experience.
  • PMP Certification desired.
  • Typically requires 5-8 years of relevant experience.
