About the position
The Lead Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the functionality and good condition of multiple properties. This role requires a proactive and organized individual who can work independently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring effective communication and teamwork. The technician will oversee maintenance operations, perform repairs, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Maintenance Technicians
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Perform maintenance and installation of systems, including replacing light bulbs, cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels, and changing furnace filters
- Assist in the setup of systems and conduct repairs as necessary
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs when needed
- Perform manual repairs, such as fixing locks and replacing windows
- Carry out a variety of maintenance tasks including painting, HVAC troubleshooting, janitorial work, inspections, landscaping, and snow removal
Requirements
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician
- Ability to communicate and partner with all levels of management and vendors
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field is a plus
- Driver's License (Required)
