About the position

As a Lead Property Service Technician at Spaulding Group, you will be responsible for maintaining properties and ensuring resident satisfaction. This role involves leading a team of service technicians, performing various maintenance tasks, and addressing resident service requests in a professional manner. You will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and compliance while collaborating with property management and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Help lead on-site service team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
  • Address resident service requests professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure safe and compliant maintenance work.
  • Proactively identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Work closely with property management, contractors, and vendors.
  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues for resident safety and comfort.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years in property maintenance or related field.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience; 2+ years preferred.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to perform basic electrical repairs.
  • Understanding of HVAC systems, including maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix common appliance problems.
  • Skills in basic carpentry work for repairs and installations.
  • Knowledge of painting techniques and ability to touch up and paint surfaces.
  • Proficiency in various maintenance tasks, such as drywall repair and lock replacement.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with residents and property management.
