Responsibilities

• Drive engine system architecture and CONOPS trades.
• Manage engine interfaces and negotiate requirements to optimize for the vehicle.
• Support engine system development and analysis.
• Lead a small team of engineers, providing mentorship and project management.
• Establish priorities and communicate effectively with leadership.
• Make direct technical contributions to engine system development.
• Encourage continuous improvement and support team growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in a complex system development or test environment.
• At least 2+ years of direct experience with liquid-propellant rocket engines.
• Strong engineering fundamentals in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
• Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving skills, and effective team collaboration.
• Ability to deliver on ambitious schedules with creative solutions.
• Strong leadership potential demonstrated through mentoring or managing projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience leading teams.
• Working knowledge of fluid components such as valves and instrumentation.
• Working knowledge of engine subsystems such as combustion devices and turbomachinery.
