About the position

The Lead Purchasing Receiving Clerk at Hilton Waikoloa Village is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food warehouse, ensuring efficient organization, inventory management, and food delivery to various outlets. This role involves planning, supervising, and performing administrative tasks related to food purchasing and inventory control, contributing to the overall success of the hotel's food service operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assist with daily organization and leadership of the food warehouse.
• Review banquet event orders for items and accuracy.
• Conduct semiannual inventory count process.
• Schedule team members and manage food purchasing as needed.
• Maintain food storeroom organization and daily operations.
• Supervise the flow of food from receiving to delivery at outlets.
• Identify and communicate shortages on inbound invoices to assure proper stock levels of items.
• Perform administrative work including maintenance of inventory master and associated item numbers within the procurement system.
• Assist with the delivery of food to outlets.
• Order food in the absence of the Food Buyer.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in food purchasing and inventory management.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
• Experience in a hospitality or food service environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of procurement systems and processes.
• Familiarity with banquet event orders (BEOs).
