About the position

The Lead Python/Flask Developer position is a long-term contract role focused on backend development using Python/Flask and frontend development with React.js/TypeScript. The role emphasizes collaboration with users to gather requirements and lead the development team in delivering robust solutions in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data, APIs, and architecture, and will be proactive in problem-solving and driving projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with users to gather requirements and understand project needs.
• Lead the development team from a project perspective, ensuring effective task distribution and project management.
• Design and implement robust backend solutions using Python/Flask and FastAPI.
• Develop frontend applications using React.js and TypeScript.
• Manage and work with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
• Ensure solid API architecture and effective data management practices.
• Analyze requirements and lead projects effectively, driving them to resolution.
• Utilize real-time data processing and event-driven architectures in development.

Requirements

• Strong experience with backend development using Python, particularly Flask and FastAPI.
• Proficiency in frontend development with React (TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
• Solid understanding of API architecture and data management.
• Ability to gather and analyze requirements and lead projects effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to own and resolve issues independently.
• Familiarity with real-time data processing and event-driven architectures.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with GraphQL and Neo4j.
