About the position
The Lead QA Engineer for Google Cloud Platform will be responsible for testing a new application in a highly regulated environment. This role requires proficiency in test case generation, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of manual testing methodologies, particularly in cloud environments. The engineer will collaborate with the team to ensure comprehensive automated testing coverage and may contribute to test code development.
Responsibilities
- Test a greenfield application in a regulated Google Cloud Platform environment.
- Generate test cases from functional/business requirements and team discussions.
- Ensure automated testing (Junit/Pytest) covers both positive and negative test cases.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
- Mentor less experienced colleagues in QA practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a related field.
- Proficient in test case generation and manual testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like Junit and Pytest.
- Basic knowledge of Java/Python/Git for test code contributions.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Proven leadership ability in QA or engineering roles.
- Working knowledge of three or more technologies related to software development.
