About the position

The Lead QA Engineer in the Digital Center of Excellence (DCOE) at Hallmark is responsible for ensuring the quality of web-based services and products. This role involves collaborating with developers, product managers, and delivery managers to create and launch product features that enhance consumer experience. The Lead QA Engineer will mentor junior and senior QA engineers, coordinate end-to-end testing, and take ownership of quality assurance processes, contributing to the development of a consumer-focused digital platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate end-to-end testing of major programs.
  • Mentor junior and senior QA engineers.
  • Conduct both manual and automated QA testing of web-based services/products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality assurance requirements.
  • Maintain a high level of quality within agile scrum teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of professional work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of software QA experience in web application/eCommerce/website testing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a mentorship or training capacity.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading or coordinating end-to-end testing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in automation testing of enterprise software systems or websites.
  • Passionate about Quality Assurance and career development within QA.
  • Deep understanding of Software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Knowledge of different kinds of testing and their fit in the product life cycle.
  • High proficiency in testing mobile native and web applications.
