About the position

The Lead QA Engineer - SDET role is focused on ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through effective test automation strategies. This position involves leading the testing efforts, designing test cases, and implementing automated testing frameworks to enhance the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automation testing and a strong understanding of Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test cases for UI, Mobile UI, and API using tools like Selenium and Appium.
• Analyze user stories to create effective test designs and ensure coverage of all functionalities.
• Manage defects and track their resolution throughout the development process.
• Monitor and maintain cloud-hosted automated test platforms to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into the continuous integration pipeline using tools like Jenkins or Harness.
• Adapt to and enhance custom automation frameworks as needed.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience programming in languages such as Java, NodeJS/TypeScript, and AngularJS.
• 6+ years of experience with UI, Mobile UI, or API test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Jasmine, and Mocha/Chai.
• Thorough understanding of service/client interdependencies.
• Experience with test-driven and behavior-driven development methodologies.
• Solid understanding of Agile development lifecycle and software testing practices.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cloud-hosted automated test platforms.
• Familiarity with additional programming languages or testing tools.
