About the position

The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer at Intermex Wire Transfers plays a crucial role in enhancing user experience through innovative products by implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes. This position involves leading the QA team, evolving QA methodologies, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards while focusing on efficiency, reliability, performance, and scalability of the products.

Responsibilities

• Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring the team uses industry-accepted best practices.
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics and applying industry best practices.
• Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate QA team members and outside contract testers.
• Work on a constant automation intent approach to increase the level of automation in testing activities.
• Generate test data in coordination with the IT Team as required.
• Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures using various tools.
• Lead the team's efforts on performance and automation plan, design, implementation, execution, and reporting.
• Diagnose defects and track them from discovery to resolution.
• Strive to maintain an adequate level of test coverage.
• Estimate testing activities effort including risk and assumptions analysis/assessment.
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure system components are designed for testability.
• Work under the general direction of the Manager of Quality Assurance.
• Identify deficiencies in current activities and processes and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in the software quality field including hands-on quality engineering expertise in automation and performance testing.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures supported by a Test Management platform like qTest.
• Hands-on expertise in developing and implementing automation frameworks and performance testing strategies.
• Experience with developing and configuring automated test scripts and maintaining incremental automated test suites.
• Familiarity with the entire software development life cycle and test cycles for functional and non-functional testing.
• Experience with testing tools such as qTest, K6, Postman, JMeter, Appium, Selenium, Katalon or similar.
• Experience leading and coordinating with external QA resources and remote/offshore QA Teams.
• Prior success using a metrics-driven approach to enhance software deliverables and improve predictability and reliability of releases.
• Effective written communication skills for documenting features tested and bugs found.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and with others.
• Bilingual - Fluent in English and Spanish.
