About the position

The Lead Quality Assurance Floor Inspector at Nestlé Health Science plays a crucial role in ensuring product quality and compliance with safety standards in a manufacturing environment. This position involves assisting the supervisor in daily operations, conducting inspections, and maintaining adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). The role is essential for managing quality assurance processes and training associates to uphold the company's commitment to health and nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Manages the department in the absence of the supervisor and/or manager
• Conducts pre start-up inspection, documentation check and release to run product in manufacturing and/or packaging
• Conducts in-process sampling and physical testing of product with required paperwork
• Assists in training other Associates
• Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
• Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Prior quality assurance experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment required
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Basic mathematical skills
• Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions
• Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc… within a manufacturing environment
