The position is responsible for planning and executing testing efforts for systems, releases, fixes, and enhancements. This includes comprehensive documentation, reporting, analysis, and acceptance of the testing processes. The role requires collaboration with Project Managers, project teams, and functional business leaders to ensure projects are steered towards success. A critical aspect of the role is to ensure that applications and platforms are compatible with each other and that all quality standards are adhered to throughout the testing lifecycle. The individual will need to possess a strong knowledge of designing, planning, and executing complex system testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality at all stages of the system life cycle. This includes developing and executing complex test plans, coordinating system testing efforts for compliance with requirements, analyzing test results, and regularly reporting on findings, risks, and progress. The position also involves partnering with IT and functional QA leaders to educate, guide, and audit the distributed QA process and execution. Additionally, the role requires the development and timely updating of QA/Software Testing documentation according to departmental standards and procedures. The individual will document online systems and testing procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing among team members. The position also involves guiding both onshore and offshore team resources in testing complex, multi-platform, and distributed applications. The individual will review and provide feedback on test plans, test cases, automation tests, and test reports/results, manage the execution of test plans, and oversee defect review boards and requirement change requests for complex projects. The role includes developing project plans, work assignments, target dates, and communicating this information to senior management and the business unit. The individual may also recommend process improvements related to testing planning and execution, ensure key stakeholders are informed of any delays, risks, or issues impacting project schedules, and generate quality assurance status reports to management to ensure smooth IT project operations. The position may also involve implementing effective and corrective measures to address specific IT quality assurance issues, along with other duties as assigned.
