About the position

As a Lead Quality Engineering & DevSecOps Analyst at USAA, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategy, transformation, and operations of Quality Engineering and DevSecOps across PNC IT. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the readiness of project scope, requirements, and objectives, while also providing thought leadership in designing and implementing quality engineering practices and technology solutions. Your efforts will focus on optimizing delivery processes, reducing test cycle times, and enhancing cost efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary conduit between IT delivery functions and business functions for technical requirements.
  • Contribute to successful delivery by partnering with Program Management to drive strategy and operations plans.
  • Ensure readiness of scope, business goals, and objectives prior to project initiation.
  • Deliver coaching, mentoring, and just-in-time training to team members through quality reviews and observation.
  • Collaborate with IT function Architects on road maps and upgrade strategies.
  • Perform high-level analyses on technical topics for pre-project and project topics.
  • Support Project Management and Practice leads with policy, procedures, and governance.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives in support of project strategy efforts.
  • Serve as Voice of the Customer for the Analyst community.
  • Lead innovative opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity for the Analyst role.
  • Identify gaps and provide technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 8 years of experience in business and/or project management, business/system requirements, and technical analysis.
  • Expert knowledge of multiple solution delivery life cycles and Business Management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
  • Expert working knowledge of business productivity products, tools, and applications.
  • Domain expert understanding of system architecture and knowledge of solution development concepts.
  • Extensive experience in requirements management, from conception definition to implementation.
  • Extensive experience with modeling techniques (e.g. UML) and use case development.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10 years of experience working with Property & Casualty Insurance Applications / Systems.
  • 8 years of experience with technical analysis or project management experience working with Property & Casualty Insurance Applications.
  • 5 years of development & testing experience working with Java/JEE, JavaScript, Web services, APIs, UIs.
  • 1 year of experience working with DevSecOps strategy, techniques & practices.
