About the position

The Lead Quality Improvement Analyst at Valley Community Healthcare is a pivotal role responsible for leading a team of data analysts to enhance healthcare outcomes, operational efficiency, and decision-making in alignment with the shift to Value Based Care. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of clinical, operational, and financial data, ensuring that data quality and accuracy are maintained throughout the analysis and submission processes. The Lead Analyst will work closely with the QI Director to establish efficient processes and foster a collaborative team culture, while also overseeing the development and implementation of governance methodologies aimed at improving data quality. In this role, the Lead Quality Improvement Analyst will be tasked with building project plans and implementations, collaborating with IT and external vendor teams to ensure effective data transitions and report builds. The analyst will attend meetings with external partners to address data quality issues and work with various internal departments to achieve strategic organizational goals through data-driven solutions. A deep understanding of workflows will be essential to identify areas for process improvement and to leverage reporting metrics that impact Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). The data analysis component of this role involves proactively identifying and integrating various data sources for collection and interpretation. The Lead Analyst will ensure the submission of supplemental data to health plans, develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports, and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of organizational processes. This position also requires a strong functional knowledge of SQL and Excel, as well as the ability to produce various reports for internal and external purposes, including quarterly provider incentive reports. Overall, the Lead Quality Improvement Analyst plays a crucial role in driving quality improvement initiatives and supporting the organization's mission to enhance population health management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of data analysts, setting clear goals and expectations.

  • Produce various weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal and external purposes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare informatics, data science, statistics) required; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and software, such as SQL, Python, and data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and adapt to a changing healthcare environment.
