About the position

The Lead Quality Systems Metallurgical Engineer at Arconic Corporation is responsible for providing technical support to manufacturing areas, laboratories, and product lines. This role focuses on quality systems, metallurgical practices, product and process improvement, and customer technical service. The engineer will leverage high-level technical knowledge to lead metallurgical understanding of critical processes and products, ensuring quality and efficiency in production.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to manufacturing areas and laboratories.
• Determine metallurgical practices for product and process improvement.
• Lead product and process development initiatives.
• Offer customer technical service and support.
• Conduct product testing and inspection.
• Provide general area leadership in metallurgical practices.
• Support core competencies including casting, rolling, and heat treatment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in quality systems and metallurgical practices.
• Strong knowledge of casting, rolling, and heat treatment processes.
• Ability to lead product and process improvement initiatives.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with laboratory technology and lubricant technology.
• Familiarity with heat treated plate and sheet products.
• Knowledge of common alloy products.
