About the position

The Lead React Developer will be responsible for leading a team in the development of web applications using React.js and related technologies. This role requires a strong background in front-end development, particularly with React, TypeScript, and state management libraries. The ideal candidate will also have experience in UI/UX design, automated testing, and web application security. This is a contract position based in Chicago, requiring local candidates who can interview on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers in building web applications using React.js.
• Write automated tests using frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, or Enzyme.
• Implement state management solutions using Redux or similar libraries.
• Develop data visualizations using tools like D3, Chart.js, or Highcharts.
• Ensure adherence to UI/UX design principles in application development.
• Maintain code quality through the use of a code style guide.
• Work with various databases and write SQL queries as needed.
• Implement web application security best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in front-end development with JavaScript and React.js.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and its application in web development.
• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux.
• Familiarity with data visualization libraries like D3, Chart.js, or Highcharts.
• Good understanding of UI/UX design principles.
• Experience with code style guides and maintaining code quality.
