About the position

The Lead React Developer will play a crucial role in a leading multinational banking and investment firm, focusing on front-end development initiatives. This position combines technical expertise with leadership skills, guiding the team in enhancing web applications and transforming front-end architecture while ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, translating them into technical requirements for the team.
• Lead the development of frontend components and features for web applications, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Utilize modern frontend frameworks to build dynamic and interactive user interfaces.
• Write clean, maintainable code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high code quality through automated testing and continuous integration.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks in frontend code and optimize web applications for speed and efficiency.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all front-end development-related matters, including frameworks, bugs, and initiatives.
• Mentor and develop junior front-end developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with back-end developers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless and user-friendly web applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, advocating for the adoption of new tools and techniques where appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related technical field/experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in front-end development.
• Experience working within an AWS cloud platform environment.
• Proven experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a software development team.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Angular framework.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
