About the position

As the Lead React Native Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire mobile app development lifecycle, from concept to deployment. You'll lead a team of developers, collaborate with project managers and designers, and ensure that our mobile solutions are innovative, scalable, and user-friendly. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in React Native development who enjoys leading a team and working on diverse, challenging projects. You will play a crucial role in shaping the mobile strategy for our clients and providing input on technology decisions. Your leadership will guide the team in delivering high-quality mobile applications that meet client needs and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of React Native mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and backend developers, to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development best practices
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in mobile development
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the development process
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their business requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs
  • Help shape the mobile strategy for our clients and provide input on technology decisions

Requirements

  • 8+ years of mobile development experience, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in React Native
  • Proven track record of building and deploying high-performance mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with modern front-end development tools
  • Familiarity with native build tools such as Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle, and Swift/Java development
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services
  • Strong understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and best practices
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Must be located in Atlanta, Georgia

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps
  • Knowledge of app store submission processes and guidelines
  • Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Firebase, or Google Cloud
  • Experience working in a consultancy or agency environment
  • Prior experience leading distributed or remote teams
