About the position

The Lead, Real Estate Construction Manager at Nike Direct North America is responsible for overseeing the construction of retail stores from design through execution. This role involves managing a team of external contributors, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders. The position emphasizes sustainability and adherence to Nike's LEED program, while also focusing on effective contract management and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of external contributors from design and concept development through project execution.
• Negotiate site selection and turnover with Real Estate partners.
• Manage overall construction program budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with internal design teams and external consultants to establish project deliverables and schedules.
• Lead contract scope development, review, and award management.
• Conduct constructability reviews to ensure design efficiencies and adherence to best practices.
• Procure long-lead and specialty items, developing RFP documents and procurement schedules.
• Provide leadership and accountability for project budgets, contracts, and vendor partnerships.
• Execute sustainability initiatives in line with the LEED program.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful turnover to Facilities and Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction project and program management.
• Professional accreditation(s) such as LEED AP or PMP.
• Experience in retail construction and fluency with architectural drawings and construction terminology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction project management tools like Procore or Smartsheets.
• Supervisory experience leading consultant project teams.
• Strong project management and program management skills.
• Experience in scope and contract management, including bidding and negotiating with contractors.
