About The Position

The Lead Relationship Banker at Truliant Federal Credit Union is responsible for serving the financial needs of member-owners by providing exceptional service and developing strong relationships. This role involves processing transactions, lending, account management, and leading a team to ensure adherence to the Credit Union's mission of enhancing members' financial lives. The Lead Relationship Banker acts as a role model and supports the Branch Manager in various operational and leadership tasks.

Requirements

  • Must be flexible to assist members with various needs throughout the day.
  • Strong understanding of standard concepts, practices, procedures, regulations, and compliance in financial services.
  • Superior interpersonal and coaching skills with the ability to work with diverse personalities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Good arithmetic skills and basic personal computer skills.
  • Knowledge of advanced products and services offered by the Credit Union.
  • Proficient in service recovery concepts to enhance member satisfaction.
  • Understanding of basic credit underwriting principles.
  • Must have Notary appointment or attain Notary status within 3 months of hire.
  • Trained in Branch Lending and understanding of all business processes within the credit union.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized with the ability to work under pressure in a goal-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Engages members in conversation to uncover their financial needs and goals.
  • Identifies quality referrals to other business units such as Business Services, Mortgage, and Truliant Financial Advisors.
  • Processes account opening and maintenance, loan applications, and transactions for members.
  • Ensures adherence to Credit Union member service standards during every interaction.
  • Coaches the team using the Vital Basics observational coaching model and provides excellent customer service.
  • Assists the Manager in reviewing performance standards and expectations of team members.
  • Provides feedback to management for performance appraisals and completes monthly scorecards and reviews.
  • Recognizes positive behavior and achievements of employees in a professional manner.
  • Manages loan and deposit pipeline for timely follow-up and success cultivation.
  • Makes outbound guidance calls to member owners.
  • Researches and resolves members' account issues while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Adheres to Credit Union and security policies and assists in controlling loan and fraud losses.
  • Ensures timely and accurate cash audits and compliance with balancing standards.
  • Schedules operations to ensure sufficient staff coverage during service hours and assigns projects to team members.
  • Balances and audits ATM, Vault, and other cash management systems according to policy.
  • Responds to security and audit findings and monitors operations for compliance.
