About the position

The Lead Reliability Analyst will spearhead reliability engineering efforts and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. This role involves providing technical leadership in condition monitoring technologies, mentoring a team of reliability analysts, and implementing effective reliability strategies to enhance asset performance and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of reliability analysts, providing guidance on best practices and methodologies.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive condition monitoring programs tailored to organizational needs.
  • Utilize advanced nondestructive testing techniques to assess the integrity of critical components.
  • Interpret data from various condition monitoring sources to identify trends and potential failures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize maintenance activities and optimize asset performance.
  • Conduct in-depth root cause analyses to identify factors contributing to equipment failures.
  • Drive reliability-centered maintenance initiatives, developing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in reliability engineering.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the knowledge of team members and stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison with external vendors and industry experts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Applied Sciences, or related field experience preferred.
  • ASNT Level 2 certification or equivalent in CM area of specialty.
  • ISO Category 3 certification preferred.
  • ASNT Level 1 certification or equivalent in at least one other secondary CM technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in condition monitoring or reliability engineering.
  • Proficiency in utilizing condition monitoring tools and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced certifications or specialized training in additional CM technologies.
  • Experience with reliability software tools and asset management systems.
  • Project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to reliability and safety.
  • Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments.
