About the position

The position involves joining the Ansys Customer Excellence team to provide technical pre-sales support, perform professional services, and guide the product roadmap based on customer requirements. The role requires advanced engineering knowledge to consult with customers on simulation-based solutions, lead project teams, and mentor junior engineers, ultimately driving Ansys' business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle.
  • Work independently within multi-disciplinary teams to guide complex sales engagements to successful outcomes.
  • Interact with customers to understand their key business initiatives and analyze how to address their requirements using Ansys products.
  • Lead project teams to create differentiating simulation solutions using the Ansys platform and products.
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product development teams to guide the Ansys product roadmap.
  • Participate in corporate initiatives to enhance Ansys technology and processes.
  • Support Ansys field and digital marketing, author conference presentations.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical/Chemical/Aerospace/Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum years of professional experience: BS+8, MS+6, or PhD+3 in an engineering software environment.
  • Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages.
  • Subject matter expert in one or more relevant disciplines within Ansys' business.
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering practices and product development.
  • Track record of delivering exceptional customer outcomes and revenue impact.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, logical problem-solving, and strong interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred education: BS+12, MS+10, or PhD+7 in an engineering software environment.
  • 4 years of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives.
